HIDDEN TALENTS is an interdisciplinary project which addresses the areas of education and personal development. The national curriculum is integrated into the project. While providing the international audience, this project will enhance pupils’ talents - develop them, inspire them, challenge them through various tasks on the local and international levels. The idea of the project is to enrich students’ creativity and talents and improve their skills in: languages, music, art, ICT, literature and drama fields as well as communication skills. Schools will organize a set of events to give children opportunities to present their skills. Activities will be determined on three levels, according to the students’ age. Students will write joint stories and lyrics and illustrate them with different techniques and photos, take part in foreign language and ICT competitions, maintain a national mascot’s diary/blog and make short films during the various activities. A DAY TOGETHER FOR EUROPE and talent shows will be the school’s big events to present talented children to the audience. While improving linguistic and ICT competencies, collaboration on the European level will educate about planning, responsibility and team work. The project aims at pupils aged four to nineteen with diverse backgrounds. Competitions and quizzes will help to evaluate expected achievement. Created by students the HIDDEN EUROPEAN TALENTS Wiki will be a final joint product which will be presented on the Internet and the final international conference. Discovering success in non-academic areas, and being able to show these skills and talents to an international audience, should help young people to break through their barriers or start their own professional career.
